Hotel and Catering Secondary School "Elsa Morante" is situated in Crispiano. Our Institute is placed in a territory characterized by the great demand for qualified services supporting the Tourist Industry and provides vocational studies in three branches of this field: Enogastronomy, Food and Beverage Service and Tourist Services. In our School there are almost 800 hundred students, aged 13 to 18, most of them belonging to biparental families with middle-school study level and average living standards. However, there are many students coming from family whose living standard and study level are low and others whose parents migrated from other (mostly East European) countries. - Through this project we want to give them the chance to enhance their awareness of cultural heritage of the territory they live in and of those belonging to the partner countries, to improve their language and ICT skills, to develop critical thinking and entrepreneurship skills. Moreover, we want to give them the opportunity of collaborating in multicultural group and developing their sense of European citizenship and identity. -Maria Antonietta Artuso and Daniela Laddomada (English teachers) will be project coordinators. Maria Antonietta Artuso will organize the assigned activities with students and field events. She has experience in a similar Comenius project and, at the moment, she is in charge of extracurricular projects related to the topics and activities planned in this project. Daniela Laddomada will organize all the activities related to communication, dissemination, evaluation and exploitation of its results. She is responsible for KA1Vet projects. Both the teachers have good interpersonal skills and command of English. Silvana Silvestri and Caterina Madaro (English and French) can substitute them since they both have experience in running international projects.
