The organisations authorities and staff came up with the idea of improving initiative through activities based on field trips. We have developed project “Exploring Cultural Heritage for Entrepreneurial Development” which addresses the needs of our pupils.

1. We combine initiative and entrepreneurship skills as they are already required by school curriculum but at the same time they are crucial for pupils’ professional future.

2. We choose activities typical for Business Studies which foster logical and critical thinking but also creativity.

3. The planned topic for all the activities is cultural heritage with all its richness. As heritage is such a complex issue it provides endless resources and inspiration for business activity. Training pupils to acquire entrepreneurial attitude to cultural heritage comes in tune with the objectives of The European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

4. The slogan ‘where the past meets the future’ is about exploring what is left for the development and the future of the European nations. This idea demands cooperation of young people from different European countries. To meet these expectations we have found via eTwinning partners from Turkey, Italy, Portugal and Spain with whom we share common views on the importance of improving all our pupils’ sense of initiative, training entrepreneurial skills and raising awareness of the impact of Europe’s cultural heritage.
